Quit The Deceit And Save Nigerians From Hardship

By Abdulmumin Giwa
Events that unfolded on the return of President Muhammadu Buhari from a medical vacation in United Kingdom have further exposed the Nigerian government’s public deception and lack of focus.
The level of hardship, inflation, poverty, hunger, unemployment, drastic rise in death rates and diseases and lack of life’s basic infrastructures were likely to defame President Buhari if public opinion is not managed and directed somewhere especially in the northern parts of the country.
More than 60% of the hardships listed and more are in northern Nigeria and this had since been established by the then governor of Nigeria’s Central Bank Charles Soludo when he mentioned in a lecture he once delivered in Kaduna during his reign. If at that time Nigeria’s poverty level was 57%embedded in northern Nigeria based on their statistics, today it is worse as it goes beyond 60%.
The government is sure that there is a time bomb that is likely to erupt that could be too costly for it which must be controlled. The people especially in the north need to be placed on a plain of thought that would keep them away from seeking a way out from the government. This is because the government has nothing to give them as it had lost focus and hope.
The government in its usual hypocrisy and executive conspiracy used its deceit machinery to pull the public towards an artificial thought in order to keep them away from not supporting President Buhari on whose support most of the leaders are where they are today. They are simply exploiting and benefitting from the blind and sentimental followership being enjoyed by President Buhari.
Yes blind and sentimental followership because such followership was ignited by sadism and envy and not as a result of good leadership. The President could clampdown on some people they hate for one reason or the other whether wrongly or rightly using his powers as president and nothing more. They are not following and eulogizing him because he has provided them with social and economic security, nor because they have access to good education and healthcare delivery services or because of availability of basic infrastructure. They only follow him because he can kill their assumed enemies. They are simply celebrating his expression of sadism against certain individuals in the country for no genuine reason or the other.
Even with the level of inflation in the country rising beyond 150% without any reciprocal increase in the level of personal income of individuals, coupled with stringent and unfriendly economic policies that have brought a lot of businesses to a halt, these blind followers still hail and usher support for President Buhari. Definitely this is not a normal situation.
Those in governmentare sure that the Nigerian people are hungry and angry and are likely to erupt any time. They as Nigerian leaders lacked the goodwill and capacity to provide for them due to personal greed and lack of know how.
For fear of that loss in support they decided to kill two birds with one stone by swaying public opinion towards hatred of the Shiites and also blackmailing them. They hypocritically used their machinery to exploit the instituted ignorance of the myopicNigerian public, especially in the northern part of the country, and induce lies in them that it were the Shi’ites that casted a spell on President Buhari and made him sick in their attempt to kill him. These lies were further promoted especially in the social media and in the Wahhabi worship places sponsored by government.
As they induce religious sentiments in the northern parts of the country against the Shiites they also induce sectional sentiments. They make the northerners to see southerners as their enemies because they allegedly hate President Buhari in the same way as they make them to hate the Shiites claiming that the Shiites hate President Buhari as well.
It has reached an epidemic level because anybody that does not like Buhari is termed as an infidel or a hypocrite by government sponsored Wahhabi clerics, and is living under the risk of being attacked by hoodlums.
The Islamic Movement in Nigeria(IMN) never had any history of anti-Buhari activities to make them hate or like him. After he clamped down on them in Zaria in December 2015 and murdered many of themone is left to wonder how the IMN members will ever like President Buhari again. He had turned hundreds into either widows or orphans and has shattered many others’ life dreams simply because they don’t share the same religious school of thought with him.
The ignorant public most of who are thriving in extreme instituted poverty have assimilated the sermons and hate speeches by government agents and Wahhabi clerics against the Shiites sponsored by the government and decided to go wild against the Shiites should President Buhari die. They went about saying it publicly that they will kill the Shiites if President Buhari dies. They mischievously mobilized the public into believing that it is the Shiites that made President Buhari sick and not God this time around.
Some of the myopic and half-baked elites amongst them who have the opportunity of writing in newspapers have even gone as far as claiming that the Shiites are suspected of poisoning President Buhari who is surrounded by his closest associates.
To buttress the point further, some state governments and traditional rulers even organized political rallies in the name of praying for President Buhari’s health where they spread the hate speeches against the Shiites and even reigned curses on the Shiites publicly. They did all these before the return of the President and set the stage for another clampdown on the endangered minority Shiites.
The intention of the government and the major stakeholders of the Zaria Massacre are to ensure that the public attention is placed on the Shiites to keep them away from questioning the lack of performance by the regime and at the same time they will have an opportunity to kill more Shiites as they have done before to satisfy their sectarian sentiment and meet their contractors’ bids.
On the return of President Buhari they took to the streets reigning insults and abuses and even harassing IMN member chanting all sorts of anti-Shiah slogans in the name of celebrating President Buhari’s home coming.
They chanted slogans like ‘the god of the north has returned’ (Ubangilin Arewa ya dawo) ‘the killer of Shiites is back’ (Makashin yan Shi’ah ya dawo) and their saint and savior is back. Many things happened in this regard because in some places they even placed a cloaked and turbaned man in a wheel barrow with one eye covered as they dramatized stoning him saying he was Sheikh Zakzaky.
In some places they went to the frontage of IMN Islamic center and staged an all-night party singing songs abusing Sheikh Zakzaky and Shi’ism to provoke the IMN members who simply left them and went to their houses.
In Kaduna like other places, they were paid to attack the IMN members and they went and started a fire on a nursery/primary and secondary school owned by the IMN which was quenched by neighbors.
They blocked roads chanting anti-IMN slogans like ‘Buhari is back, Shiites can die’ (Buhari ya dawo yan Shi’a sai dai ku mutu) and ‘Buhari is back No more Free Zakzaky’ (Buhari ya dawo no more free Zakzaky) and many other provocative statements. In most of the places the hoodlums were carrying dangerous weapons as the security agents looked the other way pretending not to be seeing anything.
The same things took place in Kano, Jos, Sokoto, Katsina and many other places in the north. What is more is that all these took place in the presence of and before the very eyes of Nigerian security agents who were looking the other way and waiting for the Shiites to react so that they could resume killing them.
They exploited the gross ignorance they have instituted in the public to push them into believing that the Shiites are their problem and not the focuslessness of the regime. Definitely the Shiites are not the problem of Nigeria.
With the sense of maturity and responsibility of the members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) and their high level of awareness, they seized to be provoked into any form of violence despite the levels of intimidations in which even individuals were directly assaulted by the sponsored hoodlums.
It is on record that in 2011 when President Buhari lost the elections, the same blind supporters took to the streets but their assault was not on the Shiites then but on the PDP and Christians. The IMN was very much there but the hoodlums never bothered to attack them because there was no reason for it then. They were mobilized to launch assault on PDP members and Christians in the North.
The IMN had nothing to do with Buhari and his win or loss in election. If there was any role played by the IMN then it was that of providing shelter and safety for Christians, mostly students of higher institutions that found themselves in the midst of the Buhar’s supporters’ mob actions. They were sheltered, protected and fed by the IMN and even given travel allowance to go home after the crises.
This time around, the PDP is there and the Christians are also there and they were not attacked by the same hoodlums but the IMN members were made the center of the attack. This is enough to show the level of public ignorance that is mischievously exploited by the politicians. They claim to be leading the people while they are exploiting them and leading them astray.
It is as if the Buhari’s regime’s only agenda is to kill Shiites for the Sunnis. That is the general picture and impression they give of the regime which from all indications the regime is comfortable with. They hail President Buhari as ‘the hero of Sunna’ because he kills Shiites and even disgustingly describe the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) as ‘Ayatullahi Burutai’.
I am sure by now a lot of those wicked leaders in government are not happy as the IMN remains unprovoked because it has blocked them the opportunity of stealing public funds in the name of providing security for the public.
Why all the deceit? Nigerians are not after all these proxy wars those in power are fighting for their masters in America, Israel and Saudi Arabia. What Nigerians actually need is true change which the government does not exhibit any signs of providing for the public. IMN or Shi’ah is not the problem of Nigeria because Nigeria does not as a nation harbor any state religion.
Every citizen has the right to belong to any religion of his choice and also has the right not to belong to any religion at all. But unfortunately the short-sighted Nigerian government of the day is making everybody believe that it is a Sunni/Wahhabi government. The government and its agents have induced hatred among citizens, promoted religious disharmony, propagated sectarian extremism and supported state terrorism. This is the only available picture of the Buhari regime.
The government has nothing to show the people and is exploiting their sentiment and deceiving them into believing the wrong things. What manner of government is it that will kill a people in their hundreds by burning them alive, murdering them and burying them alive in mass graves simply because they don’t belong to the same religious school of thought with the President and his governors?
What manner of government is it that will be using such hatred to sway public attention away from its weaknesses and lack of performance? What manner of government is it that does not respect or have any regards for the judiciary and is willing to violate all international human rights standards to satisfy the personal whims and caprices of the President? .… definitely not a democratically oriented government but a dictatorship.
What is worse is the arrogant display of tyranny by the government and total disregard to the Nigerian Constitution displayed in the illegal and unjustifiable detention of the IMN leader Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky. The shameless government could not provide any reason for abducting and detaining the revered leader of the IMN that it had to lie to the Federal High Court that he is being kept under protective custody. They were disgraced by the court’s judgment that described the government’s action as a total violation of the fundamental human rights of the Sheikh and a display of sectarian sentiments. The government is ordered by the court to release Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzkay, pay him N50 million, build a house for him and also provide him with police protection until what they claim to the court is going to harm him is no more. But the Nigerian government out of impunity refused to obey the court order to release the IMN leader and is scouting for how to prosecute him by all means as there is no single tenable reason or evidence.
Imagine this stupidity, the Nigerian Army led by a Commandant of a Nigerian Army Division launching a terrorist attack on the residence of Sheikh Zakzaky, summarily murdering and burning people alive and burying hundreds in mass graves alive after molesting women, cutting their breasts with bayonets and punching them with sharp objects in their private parts and yet the same government is claiming that they are keeping the Sheikh in protective custody to protect him from harm. Can a government led by sane people exhibit this kind of stupidity? Who is the threat to the Sheikh’s life from which they are protecting him? Why not simply quit the deceit and save Nigerians from hardships. Free Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky!!!

Clampdown on IMN: The Whole Truth and Nothing But the Truth. Part 2

By AbdulmuminGiwa
Initially, President MuhammaduBuhari had contested several times to become president of Nigeria but had not succeeded. Even in 2011 when he lost elections, his angry supporters clamped down on People Democratic Party (PDP) members burning down their property and even killing Christians in some places in Northern Nigeria. There was a serious post-elections violence perpetrated by his blind supporters as a result of losing the elections. The support for President Buhari was propagated using sectional and religious sentiments and those who opposed him used the same thing against him as well.
The Americans and the Israelis saw it as an advantage for them to throw the weight of their support on and to ensure that he becomes president but not without a price. That price was for him to accept to kill Sheikh Zakzaky, disperse his follower and outlaw the IMN. For this they would make him president. From all indications, he conceded to this proposal and accepted to exterminate a group he had never had any history of problem with.
More so, even some members of the IMN supported his presidential ambition using their NGOs and other machineries to promote him. A lot of them had hope that he was going to look into the killing of 34 IMN members by some soldiers only to end up endorsing a MoU to do worse where he killed over 1000 innocent unarmed men, women and children. IMN members were butchered by President Buhari, with some burned alive, other extra-judicially murdered by the Army and others even buried alive in mass graves. He killed three other biological sons of the IMN leader making a total of six sons killed by the Nigerian Army through executive conspiracy. The IMN leader and his wife were shot severally to the extent that the stakeholders of the Zaria Massacre celebrated the demise of Sheikh Zakzaky but were later disappointed when God Almighty brought him back to life.
The Wahhabis, who were paid by the PDP regime to oppose President Buhari during his campaign celebrated and eulogized President Buhari for killing the Shi’ites. It was so terrible that some of them even described him as ‘the god of the north’ (UbangijinArewa).
To further elaborate the point that President Buhari was selected and made President by the global opponents of Islamic Iran, everybody in Nigeria witnessed how the then American Secretary of State John Kerry vividly displayed his support for President Buhari. Kerry was in Nigeria for that and met with some key northern figures. President Buhari was also in America before the elections and was widely advertised and promoted by their mainstream media.
One thing remains clear that President Jonathan had to accept the fact that Buhari was the choice by the Americans and for that he congratulated him even before the election results were announced. If he had wanted to remain in power he would have done so but he knew he had no support of the self-appointed policeman of the world. All he needed to do, as past leaders have also done, is to rig the elections and prepare the mechanism to manage post-elections crises and simply declare himself president and that is all but for the agreements with the Americans. This implies that if the Americans wanted President Jonathan to continue as president they would have supported him even if they have to use the same mechanisms to impose him.
On winning elections, President Buhari, his American masters and their Israeli and Saudi connections unfolded the anti-IMN plot. Their mission was to kill Sheikh Zakzaky, disperse his supporters and outlaw the Movement. The American controlled mainstream media would be made to be totally silent about the mission which is also part of their policy to be silent about anything that is in favor of Iran and Islam but promote phobia against the duo.
One would wonder why the Americans, Israelis and the Saudis would form a team to exterminate the IMN. The reasons are not far-fetched. The Americans see the IMN as a strong Iranian influence in Africa. This they see as dangerous to their interests on the block and have to engage in a proxy war against the IMN. The IMN has always exposed the American plots of exploiting the African countries economically and turning them into dumping grounds. It has called for true emancipation and freedom from modern forms of slavery and colonialism led by America in Africa. Hence the Americans hate IMN because of its level of enlightenment that is exposing of their hypocrisy and exploitation of the people. They see the IMN as a threat to their greed on the continent.
The Israelis on their side see Islamic Iran as an arch-enemy that must be exterminated and so should its interests and influences across the globe. The IMN is leading in the anti-Israeli and pro-Palestinian activities in Africa. The IMN has influenced millions of people in Africa, both Muslims and Christians to support the oppressed Palestinians and to speak out against the illegal occupation of Palestinian lands by the illegal state of Israel. Like the Americans, they also see the IMN as an Iranian influence judging by their experience with the Hizbullah of Lebanon which had barred it from occupying Lebanon. The case of the response of the Israeli Ambassador in Nigeria to the IMN when it commemorate the 60 years anniversary of Israeli occupation of Palestine which the Israelis celebrated as their 60th year as a state is still fresh in the minds of the public. So definitely they want IMN exterminated by all means.
The Saudis on their part are the propagators of the American accepted brand of Islam Wahabism. They promote sectarianism, extremism and even terrorism in the Islamic world. They are the proponents of American and Israeli interests in Muslim countries across the globe. They have a role to play in supporting every attack by the Nigerian government on the IMN using their agents in Nigeria that they have established as religious clerics. They spread dangerous ideas through their Shi’ah-phobia activities and also promote hate speeches. The Saudi- American-Israeli alliance could clearly be seen in how the American government played a role in stopping its people from taking court actions against Saudi Arabia even as it was clear that Saudi Arabia was fully involved in the 9/11 Twin Towers bombing in New York.
These reasons and more necessitated the alliance among the trio. All that President Buhari needed to do to pay back his being made a president is to exterminate the Shi’ites even though it is not an easy task for him.
This was made easier for him because as some analysts have rightly observed, no leader from any region in Nigeria had ever attacked and killed people from his region no matter the extent of their misdoings as was done by President Buhari.
For example President Obasanjo never attacked and killed the Oduwa People’s Congress (OPC) despite their misdoings, President Jonathan never attacked and killed the Niger-Delta militants but even paid and empowered them and also the leading Nigerian Igbo politicians and leaders disagree with any military adventure against the IPOB who they even describe as their sons and daughters. But most unfortunately, President Buhari was quick at massacring over one thousand innocent and unarmed civilians made up of men, women and children simply because they are Shiites and the so-called northern leaders are quiet about it. They simply watched as President Buhari is murdering their vibrant youths, founding more delinquencies through producing more orphans and widows in their midst simply because they are Shiites and the Americans and Israelis don’t like them and nothing more. It was a case of using a northerner to destroy and kill northerners as against using a non-northerner which would have changed the entire expected outcome.
On their own side the paid religious clerics support the massacre for no sensible reason other than the monies they receive from Saudi Arabia and the Nigerian government. They are sponsored by the states to spread hate speeches and propagate lies against the IMN. They are pioneers of anti-Shiah propaganda. It is as though abusing and concocting lies against the Shi’ites and Shi’ism is the main creed of their religion. They have declared the lives and property of the Shi’ites lawful for their followers and hence they kill them at will and steal their property while the government pretends not to be seeing anything. They are paid and used by the Nigerian Army and government at both states and Federal levels to justify the massacre of innocent unarmed IMN members. They describe President Buhari as a saint, a saint they were paid N500 million to oppose during his campaign who also paid them back in his selective anti-graft war by pretending not to know that they were major corrupt agents.
What is even more stupid is how they spread lies that it was the IMN members that cast spell on President Buhari and made him ill. Their foolish followers were set on the track of attacking IMN members and killing them should President Buhari die. This was deliberately instigated by the cabal managing the extermination of IMN that are working for America, Israel and Saudi Arabia.
The IMN had existed for close to 40 years and had never ever had any records of taking up arms against the state. It has also never been prosecuted by any court of law. It had always been the government that was declared guilty of misdoings and instructed to pay damages which they have never obeyed.
Just of recent, in response to an independent report released by the Amnesty International (AI) exposing the poor human rights records of the President Buhari regime, the ministry of External Affairs did its best to not only disgrace the Nigerian government on the global scene, by labeling false and unsubstantiated accusations against the AI, it also declared the IMN as a terrorist group without presenting any sensible or reasonable facts and evidences. It made a fool of itself likening the IMN to Boko Haram. Whereas the Boko Haram belongs to the main stream Sunni school of thought, the IMN is inclined to the Shiite school of thought. They have no link what so ever with Boko Haram. The IMN does not accept and does not believe in any form of arms struggle because it is an intellectual ideology that gives life to people and not bloodshed as displayed by the APC pro-Sunni regime. The IMN enlightens, it educates and also emancipates the oppressed and exploited from the clutches of wicked tyrants and oppressors. Definitely no one would expect any tyrant or oppressor to be in good terms with the IMN.

Clampdown on IMN: The Whole Truth and Nothing But the Truth. Part 1

By AbdulmuminGiwa
Since the advent of Islamic Republic of Iran after a successful revolution led by AyatullahRuhullahKhumaini (QS) in 1979, America has been on its feet to see that the regime was brought down by all means. This became necessary for several reasons some of which are very obvious. These obvious reasons include among others the issue of global supremacy. The capitalists with America in the lead were already taking the lead in a cold war against the communists led by the then Union of Soviet Socialists Republic (USSR).
The Americans were working towards becoming the strongest and most influential nation in the world that controls not only other sovereign nations but also their internal affairs. All of a sudden another alternative powerful ideology and system with even a more potential strength appeared on the global stage in Iran. Certainly this is a threat to the American interest most especially as America had already gotten control of the ousted monarchy led by Shah Reza Pahlavi in Iran and had arranged beneficial economic concessions that will boost its strength. The revolution brought an unplanned stop to the American control of the 4th world’s oil richest nation and member of the prestigious Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). This has devastatingly affected America.
More so, the new regime in Iran was totally independent of American control and influence and is working towards establishing its strength and influencewithin and outside the Gulf region. A lot of movements across the globe that America had had hypocritical stance about, including South West African People’s Organization (SWAPO) and even the African National Congress (ANC) were also influenced by the revolution in Iran.
In addition to all that, the new Islamic regime in Iran could make America lose total control of a lot of Muslim countries across the globe, most of which are oil rich nations largely exploited by it through mischievous and hypocritical diplomatic policies. The Muslims number over 1.5 billion in the world and allowing Iran to lead these people would certainly tarnish the American dream of controlling the world. Those countries could take along the Iranian path and another super-power with an Islamic ideology could be founded which is grossly detrimental to the American global control.
After bringing down the USSR in a cold war, America was faced with emerging Islamic Iran it had failed to curtail even with the imposition of a strongly financed war using Saddam Husain, the then Iraqi dictator and its celebrated stooge. The Gulf War lasted eight years of which all international laws on conduct of war were violated before the very eyes of the United Nations (UN), where chemical and cluster bombs were used in places like Halabja especially and other parts of Iran.
The war ended and America understood that Islamic Iran had come to stay. It then mobilized extremely stringent and unjustifiable sanctions on Islamic Iran for which alliances were formed with European countries and others to ensure Iran was brought down.
America also exploited the sectarian ideals of Saudi Arabia and sponsored a global anti-Shiah campaign and also promoted the American accepted version of Islam, Wahabism, to ensure that they blackmail Iran and curtail its strength and influence in the Muslim world. A lot of Saudi backed Islamic organizations were founded and funded in many countries including Nigeria where the Wahhabi contractors established theIzala group of which the Salafists later emerged from which the terrorist organization called Boko Haram was later founded.
The Wahhabi movement enjoyed strong financial support from Saudi Arabia through especially the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO), later banned and accused of sponsoring terrorism in Muslim communities. IIRO built a lot of mosques and schools for the Izalah and enhanced sectarian division among Muslims for which within the Sunnis there were Tariqas who are adherents of the Sufi order and the Izala who are the Wahhabis. The Izala declared the Tariqah followers as infidels despite belonging to the same Sunni school of thought.
Iran was able to sustain itself to the level of becoming a power to reckon with not only in the Middle East but also beyond despite the destructive economic sanctions. Iran also developed alternative economic policies that managed it through the periods of stringent sanctions where it emerged powerful in the fields of medicine, science and technology. It developed its arts and other industries in such a way that it was even independent of its rich oil reserves. It also became a nuclear power within the periods of the sanctions and also developed its military might beyond the expectation of its enemies.
Iran was able to curtail the Israeli influence in the Gulf Region by giving hope to the Palestinians Hamas Intifada and also protection to Lebanon from Israeli encroachment through theHizbulllah. All these policies are outright threats to both the Israeli and American interests.
The rise in power and strength of Iran on the global stage forced America, Israel and Saudi Arabia into engaging in proxy wars against groups and sovereign nations to fight what they see as Iranian influence.
The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) which started its activities before the Islamic Revolution of Iran was able to see the practical interpretation of its ideals by the Iranian state after the successful Islamic Revolution in Iran. It became morally empowered by the revolution as well.
With the dilapidating social, economic as well as political systems in Nigeria, more and more people see hope in the IMN and it was growing through public enlightenment and education but not without challenges from diverse interest groups major amongst which are the Wahhabi Movement and its cabal within the Nigerian government.
The Wahhabis and their cabal in government have propagated a lot of lies against the IMN and have even called for the extermination of the Movement and massacre of its members. They turned themselves into propagandists of the Shia-phobia through their sectarian activities.
To the Americans, the IMN is seen as a threat to its interest. Firstly, Nigeria is an influential black nation in the world that is endowed with both human and natural resources. It is such that in every five black people in the world one is a Nigerian. They want to have total control of this black nation and exploit it politically and economically.
The Americans are so concerned about the IMN that around 2007, one ChidiOkpara website revealed that the Americans have declared Sheikh IbraheemZakzaky, leader of the IMN as a threat to its interest. That they have established a desk in the American Embassy in Nigeria that is to pressurize the Nigerian government to kill Sheikh Zakzaky, disperse his followers and outlaw the Movement. They have influenced several regimes on the IMN in one way or the other. They were able to penetrate the Nigerian intelligence machinery, government, security and now the executive to clampdown on the IMN.
They attempted an all-out clampdown on the IMN during the President Goodluck Jonathan’s regime when they attacked the IMN killing 34 members including three biological sons of the IMN leader all of who are undergraduates in July 2014. Their intention was to destroy the IMN but the incident of the killing would be given another interpretation and was even used by the All Progressive Congress (APC) stakeholders to campaign against the Jonathan’s regime. This observation led to the suspension of that project.
More so, using President Jonathan to fight IMN could turn into a religious and sectional crisis where the majority northerners will accuse President Jonathan of killing Muslims for no just course. If the Americans use his regime to fight the IMN they will end up getting a futile result that would raise support and strength for the IMN. Hence, the whole plan was changed and they decided to support a northern candidate that could do their bid for them.
