The other side of the Sultan Bello Mosque crises

By Abdulmumin Giwa
Just of recent, worshippers at the Sultan Bello mosque Kaduna have had two crisis-laden Fridays in series following a said imposition of an unpopular Imam being supported by some powers that be.
Dr Khalid Aliyu, who is also the Secretary General of Jama’atu Nasril Islam, a body that is supposed to be protecting the collective interest of Nigerian Muslims irrespective of their sectarian inclination, ideas and schools of thought, was opposed to by worshipers after he was appointed Imam of the Mosque by the Kaduna State Government under the office of the Emir of Zazzau.
Being the choice of the state government, both religious and democratic processes of electing an Imam where not adhered to, he was simply announced as the appointed Imam of the mosque, an action which did not go down well with worshippers in the mosque who are mostly supporters of the controversial Islamic cleric Dr. Ahmad Gumi.
On the first Friday as Dr. Khalid went to lead Friday prayers to begin his tenure as Imam of the mosque he was welcomed by a fierce resistance shouting “ba mu so” (we don’t want) which led to a very noisy and rowdy session with people almost engaging in physical assault.
The state government in its usual tyrannical manner got Dr. Khalid escorted to the mosque by hundreds of armed policemen the next Friday in its effort to impose him, even as the worshippers resist. They were already in a prayer session when the police attacked the mosque throwing teargas at the congregation. Worshippers including children suffered suffocation and had to quite the session for safety as police clear the mosque for Dr. Khalid to lead prayer where he led some members of the Mosque committee and members of his entourage. The police practically took over the mosque after violating its sanctity and dispersing innocent worshipers carrying out the orders of the Kaduna State Government.
Later in the day, Dr. Khalid called a press conference to shower blames on Dr. Gumi who he accused of rebelling against the state and causing chaos. He also declared that he is beyond the ‘Imamship’ because even the mosque is under his authority as the head of Jama’at Nasril Islam (JNI).
On his side, Dr. Gumi insisted that the people should be allowed to choose their Imam because prayer is rendered invalid with an imposed Imam. There was also an audio doing the rounds in the social media where Dr. Gumi said that he met with the Kaduna state governor Nasir El-Rufai and the governor had promised him that such violation of the mosque sanctity by police would not repeat itself come next Friday. He also called for calm that everything would be resolved.
What actually led to the crisis between the two was said to be both personal and sentimental. Dr. Khalid was once the JNI leader in Jos while he was a Tarikah follower but later converted to Ahl Sunna. Dr. Gumi wanted the JNI because it was his father’s initiative but Dr. Khalid was fast at pushing him aside.

Likewise the Sultan Bello Mosque was brought to live by Dr. Gumi’s father late Sheikh Abubakar Mahmoud Gumi as was where he ran his annual Ramadan Tafsir and now Dr. Khalid is back again to take it away. These are basically the problems between the two.
Going by what Dr. Khalid said that in his position as the Secretary General of the JNI he is above being an Imam, why would he then be interested in becoming the Imam of Sultan Bello Mosque? Why is he being imposed by force by the Kaduna state government as the Imam of the mosque even as the worshippers of the mosque reject him? What interest is the Kaduna state government protecting or imposing in the mosque? What is the business of Kaduna state government on who becomes Imam in any mosque at all? The answers are not farfetched.
Everyone is aware of what happened in Zaria in December 2015 where the Nigerian Army attacked the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) and killed over 1000 of them and buried them in mass graves. In efforts to douse the tension founded by the mass-murder and extra-judicial killings that tantamount to severer crimes against humanity, for which the Nigerian President, the Chief of Army Staff, the Kaduna state governor and some other individuals were indicted before the International Criminal Court (ICC), the Kaduna state governor formed the Judicial Commission of Inquiry (JCI).
Part of the work of the JCI included receiving memos from individuals and groups and also cross-examining them. The governor had earlier indicted the IMN in his speeches before even forming the JCI. He also has been holding IMN members in detention in Kaduna Prison and has taken them to court on fabricated charges even before forming the JCI. The body language and actions of the governor showed where he belonged in the crisis.
Part of the intention of the perpetrators of the Massacre was to ban the IMN and the JCI was to work it out for them. Being aware of the plot, the IMN stayed away from the JCI such that the entire submission of the JCI was one-sided and based on information gathered by it from IMN adversaries. Groups, individuals and agencies were all sponsored to make monotonous submissions before the JCI.
The JCI on its part also avoided the IMN by refusing to demand the presence of the IMN leader Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky who is in detention with the government. It was such that all the JCI gathered where calculated lies, fabrications and hate speeches against the IMN to produce a report. These were produced by Wahhabis, Army, DSS, Police and other self-appointed opponents of the IMN.
In his position as the head of the JNI, Dr Khalid was not left behind in fabricating lies against the IMN and its leader before the JCI. He played a very vital role in treading the path of the government in its evil agenda against the IMN. He was a stakeholder in a meeting that that brought like-minds together to ensure that the IMN was indicted and banned. In fact he shopped for more lies against IMN saying the more the lies the more their chances of achieving their aim against IMN. To them they were fighting a Jihad against Shiites and Shiism with government on their side.
It is this role he played that has made him handy for the success of the plots against IMN. Government on its part has sponsored clerics to spread hate speeches against IMN to their congregations. The Sultan Bello Mosque as a very vital mosque to Muslims in Kaduna metropolis would require a dedicated stakeholder of the Shiah-phobia. This is where Dr. Khalid comes in.
The state government needs him to become the Imam and is ready to use force to impose him even as Dr. Gumi feels he is more deserving. To them they see Dr. Gumi as an opponent that is not in very good terms with President Buhari and had once called for the release of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky from illegal detention. The government could not trust him as he might speak against them if made the Imam of the Mosque and this could jeopardize government interest.
The Kaduna state Government was ready to use force to impose their puppet Imam in the mosque even if they have to violate the sanctity of the mosque. Dr. Khalid and the state government are fighting for a particular agenda while Dr. Gumi on the other side is fighting for his own agenda. But he might have been enlightened by the state governor when they later met with him.
Part of the government agenda now is an all-out war against Shiites in the country and the role of the Imams and other clerics cannot be over-emphasized. They are now saddled with the duty of spreading hate messages against the IMN and people like Dr. Khalid are very handy in the plot that is why he is fighting to become an Imam by all means even as he is above the office in his position as the head of the JNI as he rightly said.
Definitely the interest of the government and Dr. Khalid is clear and cannot be denied. This is an act of corruption being perpetrated by a government claiming to be fighting corruption. It’s more like bribing Dr. Khalid with position of Imam for a job well done against Shiites in Nigeria.

“A pathological liar” indeed

“A pathological liar” indeed

By Abdulmumin Giwa
A lot of people wonder why the revered leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) enjoys a very strong followership and unalloyed loyalty from his followers, such followership as one is ready to give his life for him. It is very easy to understand, he is not a liar, he is not a deceiver and he never says what he will never do.
Sheikh Zakzaky is most fearful of God Almighty and has never engaged in any act in the entire history of his life that can be used against him in any way. He is loving, caring, kind, gentle, truthful and honest. He never betrays or even bothers to speak evil of his opponents. He is a true spiritual guide that preaches peace, unity and understanding among adherents of all religions. The revered leader frowns at tyranny oppression and injustice. He is a practical interpretation of a true leader.
He has exceled to even greater heights when it comes to knowledge, wisdom and intellect such that he is no match to the hungry Arabic speaking idiots that have submitted themselves to the control of greedy politicians. In fact I have said nothing about this God made Saint of a scholar.
These ethical virtues he has are all that make good people to submit to him willingly any time they encounter him. This is even the reason why agents of the devil work tirelessly to keep people away from him through various means.
No sane person can compare him to the wicked politicians that are after his life who the Prophet of Islam Muhammad (SAWA) had described as hypocrites. Yes Prophet Muhammad called them hypocrites when he said “the signs of the hypocrite are three, when he talks he lies, when he promises he fails and when he is trusted he betrays” and these are the practical features of Nigerian politicians irrespective of their political platforms.
It was very embarrassing and unbecoming of the Kaduna state governor to have disgraced lied against Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky our beloved leader and father. I am not surprised because I have heard that former president Olusegun Obasanjo called him a pathological liar.
Based on this, I will like to respond to some of the noises made on the IMN by the Kaduna Governor who said IMN is not a religion but a political group that does not recognize any country in the world except Iran. He also said that who will waste his time going to seek votes from the IMN members when they don’t even have voters’ registration and don’t recognize the government when he responded on those who accuse him of going to seek for votes by condoling Sheikh Zakzaky after the Nigerian army killed 34 of his followers including three of his sons in 2014.
The governor also lied against the IMN when he said they do not regard constituted authority and have their own Governors in every state. He lied, he lied, he lied….. all against the Sheikh and the IMN.
IMN members are Nigerians holding Nigerian passport and national identity cards and have not declared any part of the country as theirs. They are not an organization or a society but a congregation of Muslim worshipers. To even prove that we are Nigerians, when you mass murdered us in the Zaria massacre we did not pick up arms but still remained our peaceful self and went to the court of law to seek redress. Even when you sponsored thugs to kill us and loot our property we didn’t take laws into our hands, we waited for the police to do their job. How better Nigerians do you want us to become?
The good side of it all is that Govrnor El-Rufai did not make mention of any single reference of any indictment against Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky whose side of the story has never been heard by anybody anywhere since they abducted and illegally detained him for almost ten months now.
He and those he is leading in persecuting the Sheikh are the ones fabricating lies and telling people about the Sheikh and not the Sheikh or his followers. To even prove their hypocrisy, as the Prophet has rightly described them, they hid him away from the Judicial Commission of Inquiry (JCI) that he claims has banned the IMN, so as not to allow anyone to hear from him. They then gathered the Sheikh’s self-appointed sworn enemies to fabricate lies against him and get paid for it.
Any time they open their mouths to speak concerning Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzkay (H) they lie against him, nobody can boldly say he heard the Sheikh said this or saw him did that.
I challenge El-Rufai and the Nigerian government to charge the IMN leader His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzkay to the court of law if they have anything against him. They can’t because all they have with them are lies and lies and lies and fabrications that cannot withstand court cross-examinations. What did he do? What has he done wrong? And what is the punishment of the wrongdoing if any?
Is it burning his sister and nephew alive, killing three of his sons, shooting his wife in the womb, shooting him severally and turning him blind, burning down and demolishing his house and abducting and detaining him illegally that is the punishment for that wrongdoing he committed as enshrined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria? What manner of patriots are Nigerian leaders.
Yes, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria has nothing to do with politics as a religious movement and does not, as a body, participate in politics as well. It is not part of its policy. IMN is simply a religious people practicing their religion. But at the level of individual members everyone has his right and choice to vote or not to vote or to even contest or not to contest. As a result, there are a lot of IMN members that have voted and there are a lot like other Nigerians that still see voting as waste of time in Nigeria because leaders are not elected but selected. Is it a crime for a Nigerian not to vote if does not want to?
There are some IMN members as individuals that have contested even in the last elections. I am a Shiite, an ardent follower and loyalist of His Eminence Sheikh Zakzaky (H) and its my choice and my right. I have a voter’s card and I voted for Buhari as President of my country Nigeria, El-Fufai as Governor of my state Kaduna and Comrade Shehu Sani as Senator from my zone the Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone. I voted at Shaba ward in Kaduna metropolis.
It didn’t even stop there, I even produced a jingle for the APC with my broadcast voice which the governor himself listened to and approved and was aired several times especially on Freedom Radio and Liberty Radio both in Kaduna. In fact, because of the way I campaigned for him at the Nigerian Union of Journalists Press Center in Kaduna some of my colleagues named me El-Rufai. I even have pictures with Governor El-Rufai due to the enthusiasm taken at Freedom Radio Kaduna after a live broadcast when he was campaigning to become governor.
More so, a lot of my friends did the same and even more. If in my own case I have to contend with the pains of watching Governor El-Rufai suppressing the IMN and insulting its leader, some of my friends that even did more for the APC were killed by the APC government. Shahid Buhari Jega even had an NGO that promoted them but they killed him. Another friend of mine, a university lecturer and also an active IMN member had four of his children killed by the government after mobilizing lecturers and students to vote for the APC in several universities in the country.
Definitely I have no choice but to uphold the saying of former president Obasanjo that El=Rufai is “a pathological liar” to have said during his live media chat, Thursday night, that IMN members don’t even have voters’ cards and don’t vote. For indeed I not only voted but also campaigned. And thousands of Sheikh Zakzaky’s followers that did the same will say the same to you.
Even if we don’t vote, these are some of the reasons why we shouldn’t vote because is more like digging our own graves ourselves. Definitely the IMN is not like other religious groups or organizations that you can bribe their leaders to mobilize their followers to vote for you. The IMN has religious discipline and morality.
For the fact that the IMN is so disciplined and morally upright and you cannot get what you want to achieve your political goal from it is not a reason why you should ban it and insult the leader on radio. As individuals they voted but as a group no! And this is a benchmark for other religious groups to learn to respect individual choices and stay away from corruption by mingling with politicians.
More so, for the love of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, tens of thousands of his followers in Kaduna voted for El-Rufai in particular as a reward for condoling their leader when he lost three of his biological sons killed by the Nigerian Army. But unfortunately the governor had to lie after betraying the IMN to convince people of the state that Sheikh Zakzaky is a bad man. He even tickled the emotions of the public saying IMN members don’t like Buhari so that his blind followers can hate the IMN and possibly even attack them.
Well the only and best answer for whosoever feels he can disperse people away from His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky because he is in possession of power, guns, ammunitions, thugs and jails has been given to him since the Zaria massacre of 2015 where the Nigerian Army had to kill everybody present to be able to get to the Sheikh. In like manner to be able to drive us away from Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) you have to be prepared to kill millions of us remaining.

Re-Why we ban IMN’s activities in Plateau -Lalong

By Abdulmumin Giwa
Responding to a press statement by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), as reported by the Trust newspaper of 24 October 2016, the Plateau state Governor Solomon Lalong stated his reason for banning the IMN.
Before I go into the rejoinder proper, let me start by correcting the journalist that made the report because he seems not to be enlightened enough about IMN. He referred to the President of the Media Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria Malam Ibrahim Musa as the leader of the IMN in Plateau state. This is a misinformation that proves that he knows nothing about the IMN maybe because of its serenity and peaceful nature in Jos.
If the IMN was any threat to peace and tranquility in Jos to deserve the wanton attack it got from a collection of military men, police and hired thugs, the name of its leader in the state, and even outside the state, would have since become a household name especially to journalists in the state. But alas from the report by the journalist it shows that the IMN is so peaceful in the state that neither its activities nor the name of its leader is known.
Of course the IMN has never featured at any point in time in any of the crises that have bedeviled the Plateau in the past years despite its being in the state for the past three decades. How then would a religious group with this record of peaceful coexistence be termed as a security threat?
The Plateau state governor Solomon Lalong, was reported to have said that security considerations were purely responsible for the ban on the activities of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria. It was that easy to mention of a people whose names have never featured in all travails the state had faced in the past. Hence he could not even sight any single example of such security threat posed by the IMN.
Earlier his spokesperson Mr Dan Manjang had issued a different statement that confirmed that the IMN has been peaceful only to go back on his words again to uphold the ban suggesting indecisiveness and foul play.
There is no such thing as a reference to the laws of the state that regulate religious practice by Lalong when he claimed that there were laws in the state that regulate religious practice. Do such laws tell adherents of religion what to and what not to practice in their religion or what? The Nigerian constitution frowns at his claims by giving the right to worship, associate, spread your belief and right not to be discriminated at.
In which way is the Ashura procession which the Lalong boys and sponsored thugs attacked and killed several IMN members, tortured many and jailed several others including women and children, a threat to security. This is an event that has been held every year for the past over three decades of the IMN in Jos without any single trace of security breach to refer to. Why now?
The way and manner the IMN members were attacked in Jos was more of a terrorist activity by the state. Unarmed men, women and children were beaten with sticks by security operatives and arraigned for no just course before the court and jailed without any option of bail including pregnant women, nursing mothers and infants. Is only a terrorist in power that can act in this manner and not a responsible leader.
How would the governor respond to human rights activists with all the pictures and video clips showing torture and violation of fundamental human rights by a team of security agents and hired thugs with him as the chief security of the state? Definitely it is a slap on his political career.
In case governor Lalong is not aware, the IMN members he attacked were simply in a mourning procession of to mark the martyrdom of the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA), Imam Husain (AS). Because some Sunni sect adherents he is with do not practice it does not in any way stop it from being an Islamic practice.
More so, those arrested were tortured by the security operatives, they were beaten and some were even fractured as a result and the security personnel were even insulting the Household of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) saying they should call Mahdi (AS) to come and save them. I wonder how governor Lalong will feel when as a citizen of a state adhering to Christianity, the governor of his state orders him to be maltreated and insulted to the extent of telling him to call Jesus to come and save him. Definitely he will feel bad but here he is ordering the same on innocent Shiite Muslims because he is a Governor.
Or is it the black hijab (women cover) his terror team used in identifying IMN members and arresting and arraigning them and fabricating lies against them before the court, that they were caught with weapons, that is the security threat? Where did the Nigerian Constitution instruct on the type or color of dress to wear? This is simply an act of discrimination by the state in total contravention of the constitution.
If Lalong sees anything that he does not understand about the Islam being practiced by the IMN members then it is wrong of him to approach their adversaries on what they are doing. This is simply because they are in the best position to explain to him what they are doing. At least he is a Christian he knows that they have Catholics and Anglicans among them so he should not be surprised that there are Sunnis and Shi’ites in Islam as well.
If governors of the other states that are at war with the Shiites because they are Sunnis, like the Kaduna state governor in particular, and could kill the Shiites and be praised by their Sunni supporters as doing a good Jihad for Islam, in Lalong’s position is he also fighting the Jihad? Unless of course he is using the opportunity to display his intolerance and Christian extremism against the Shiite Muslims he is antagonizing.
If this is the case then he is antagonizing the wrong set of Muslims. Because the IMN are the Muslims whose leader has always protected the Christians from attacks by those who see the Christians as their adversaries during the various crises that have bedeviled the country in the past. Mr. Lalong should go and do his homework because he is killing the wrong Muslims if his intention is to kill Muslims. Moreover there is no need for anyone to kill another person because of his religion.
In a nutshell, there is no reason for governor Lalong to have engaged in a very sensitive issue like this which other governors like those of Bauchi and Nasarawa in particular have declined to join. They chose to allow freedom of worship and association in their states.
The same events Mr. Lalong attacked with brute force in Jos were conducted peacefully and successfully in all the other states where they were not attacked by security operatives and hired thugs. If there was any security breach it would have been seen in those states where the Ashura mourning events were not attacked. Therefore, if Lalong had not clamped down on the procession in Jos using military, police and hired thugs, everything would have ended peacefully.
More so, it is a wrong footing for him and his political career to start breeding unnecessary enemies for himself. I advise Lalong to sheath his sword of fighting against Shiites under any guise at all. Even those Muslims that despise the IMN among the Muslims accuse the IMN of being too close to Christians because of the IMN policy of unity among humanity irrespective of race, tribe or religion. The ideas of the IMN are the best that can run a better Nigeria for all.

Are African Leaders truly worth the support?

By Abdulmumin Giwa
This is the second time I am writing on the issue of some African countries making efforts to withdraw from the International Criminal Court (ICC) accusing it of being biased against African leaders. Just of recent, Gambia concluded processes of its withdrawal while South Africa and other African countries including Burundi, Namibia and Kenya are considering taking a similar step.
The Gambia is accusing the Hague-based tribunal of “persecution and humiliation of people of color, especially Africans’. This has moved the emotions and sentiments of a lot of Africans and people of color across the globe.
The Gambian government says “there are western countries, at least 30, that have committed heinous war crimes against independent sovereign states and their citizens since the creation of the ICC and not a single western war criminal has been indicted”
It has roused some Africans into condemning the ICC while others are calling on it to change its ways. Africans have blindly been steered into believing that the ICC is unfair to African leaders who hail the idea of withdrawing from it.
Even if the allegations against the ICC are real and could be substantiated, it can never be refused that there is a verse difference between the crimes committed by those African leaders in comparison to those of the Western European and American countries.
Just like rightly stated by the Gambian authorities, the crimes committed by those European countries were committed on other sovereign nations and not on the people they are leading. Unlike the Africans who commit such crimes on their own people those accused of such war crimes in Europe commit such crimes on other countries. This fact cannot be dismissed.
The way and manner African leaders rule over their people is extremely dictatorial, tyrannical and authoritarian. Most of such African leaders are stooges of some leaders in Europe and America and of recent, like in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia. All they are after is serving the interest of their masters in Europe, America and others to the detriment of their people.
Such interests could include minority cleansing, genocide and economic and political crimes. Virtually all of these African leaders enjoy immunity in their countries and could even act against the constitutions of their countries and disobey court orders in their countries thereby going against the tenets of democracy.
Such leadership delinquencies are never found in European or American leaders. More so the war crimes committed by them are in conjunction with and support of the leaders of the affected sovereign nations in Africa and other colored nations. Mostly the leaders are in pursuit of deals of benefit to their countries in Europe or America and of personal benefits of the African leaders and not to their people.
If there are no ways by which the African leaders would be brought to book for crimes against humanity they commit then a new wave of slavery is being introduced. So it is wrong to view it from the point of view of ICC punishing African leaders and so they should withdraw from the ICC. It should rather be viewed from the point of view that the ICC be made to prosecute all signatories to the Rome Statute that are ratified.
There are a lot of crimes committed by African leaders on their people that one would never hear European or American leaders committing on their own people. The European and American leaders respect, protect and uphold the fundamental human rights of their people which is different with the African leaders who disregard, abuse and flaunt the fundamental human rights of their people. Keep all sentiments aside, this is the truth.
It is only in Africa that it is not news because a uniformed personnel, a police or soldier, violates citizen’s rights and nothing is done. The African leaders have made it so suppressive that it is considered as normal for those in authority to brutalize ordinary citizens because they are in position of power. This nonsense cannot happen in Europe or America.
For instance in Nigeria, the present Muhammadu Buhari regime killed over 1000 unarmed men, women and children in Zaria, Nigeria burning some of them alive simply because they are Shiites Muslims and he is Sunni Muslims and he sees them as his adversaries. Where in Europe or America can this happen that a Catholic president will kill all the Anglicans because he is in power? It is only in Africa that you have power-drunk leaders with elements of insanity in their brains.
For instance Omar El-Bashir of Sudan is accused of killing about 30,000 people through genocide against Masali and Zagwa people he is leading; Paul Biya is accused of shedding the blood of over 20,000 of his people through kidnapping and murder of those who oppose him; Mengitsu Haile Mariam was accused of killing over 400,000 Ethiopians of the Kebele tribe he considers as his adversaries; Idi Amin of Uganda was accused of killing over 25,000 of his people who are Obote; Ahmed Sekou Toure of guinea is accuse of killing 100,000 after declaring a one party system of seven years term and had been president several times over; Marcius Nguema is accused of causing over one-third of the Guinea population to flee the country due to fear of his brutalities and is accused of killing over 50,000 people; Hessein Habre of Chad is accused of genocide against the Hajerai and Zaghawa people where over 80,000 people were said to have been killed.
These are the types of leaders we have in Africa that could kill their people for personal whims and caprices and not for national interest. They are either carried away by foreign, political, tribal or religious interests for which they can kill their people to achieve. What a mentality.
Even now as they fight to bring down the ICC, they are being used by the European and American leaders to discredit the ICC to avoid them ending up before the Court. That is why the trend is not pressurizing the ICC to prosecute the European leaders guilty of war crimes but to condemn the ICC for punishing African leaders for war crimes. Why is the trend in this direction moving from country to country? Most of these African leaders are European and American stooges serving their interests.
The African leaders submit to them willfully for protection to remain in power. They allow themselves to be used to fight proxy wars in their lands. Is only in Africa that the Americans, Israelis and Saudis can come and instruct the Nigerian president to wipe out Iranian interests and influence because Iran is their adversary and not because Nigeria is at war with Iran.
Those Europeans and Americans guilty of war crimes are using their stooges in Africa to fight against the ICC to discredit it and to bring it down to save themselves and subsequently empower their stooges leading Africa. That is simply what is happening now.
It must be noted that the African leaders commit such war crimes against their people to satisfy the interest of the European and American leaders due to elements of neo-colonialism and defeatist mentality.
In Nigeria for instance, President Buhari wants to cleanse the Shiites for America and Saudi Arabia who see the growing Shiites population as a threat to their interest. They see it as the influence of Iran in the region which they must contain by all means. Hence they select and support the president and give him a mission. For his own interest and to continue in power he does what they instruct and in the end he becomes a war criminal while they pull aside and leave him to face the ICC.
Even in other colored countries that are not African, like in Iraq, it was America that made Saddam Hussein in order to fight Iran. They armed him and use him to fight war with the Islamic Iran for eight years and even allowed him to take over Kuwait and then used that to finish him to sweep their dirty work under the carpet. That is why their war crimes are committed offshore and not in their homelands unlike the African leaders who commit the war crimes on their own people for the interests of the masters in Europe and America.
Even in Yemen, the said leader in power is being imposed on the populace by foreign powers made up of Saudi Arabia, America and Israel. He is not in the country but his people are being killed to place him in power. In Bahrain also the majority are being ruled by a minority that bring foreigners to the country and register them as citizens while they deny the majority citizenship. These kinds of things cannot happen in Europe or in America.
Definitely it is wrong for any right-thinking African to think that his country withdrawing from the ICC is in his interest. Those African and colored leaders enjoy immunity in their countries and are to a certain extent beyond prosecution for crimes they commit against humanity in such countries. Hence the ICC remains the only hope for suppressed Africans and colored people against their leaders not because the ICC is fair to all, but because the oppressive African leaders will face the consequences of their actions. This could serve as deterrent to those who intend to get power to suppress others.
My belief is that the African leaders would not easily be submissive to the European and American leaders and serve their interest against their people because if they do, they would end up being indicted by the ICC while their masters watch from the other side. The campaign should be geared towards making the ICC to be fair to all and not to withdraw from it. This is what the European and American leaders would not want to see. Sincerely speaking African leaders are not worth being supported against the ICC and the ICC should continue to stand firm. Those Africans and colored who support bringing down the ICC are only digging their own graves and serving the interests of the imperialist dictators. Let the ICC stand and be pressured to be fair to all.

If they but knew

By Abdulmumin Giwa
It is worth observing the way some self-appointed “jihadists” were deceived into attacking and looting properties of members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) by government, security agents and their Wahhabi collaborators.
The Wahhabi collaborators in some communities spread rumors and promoted sectarian hate speeches and phobia against Shiites and Shiism to the generally ignorant members of the public in the commercial centers they call mosques. They even spread the rumor that IMN members were planning to launch attack in certain communities in order to instigate them into violent-ready states.
Even when the IMN members went to clean up the Kaduna center following the announcement by the Kaduna state governor Nasir El-rufai calling for calm and assuring that the situation was under control and that he had instructed the security to arrest those guilty of attacking IMN members on Ashura Day, while he also commiserated with the victims, a lot have happened.
Even though the governor’s announcement ended up becoming deceptive there was relative calm to permit for the cleaning of the center. On arrival those that instigated the attack on that day went round streets spreading rumors that IMN members were planning to attack them thereby instigating a violent-ready minds into action.
They were drawn in their thousands (not less than five thousand) with a lot of them carrying local weapons. The police saw them and did not do anything to stop them. They attacked and injured IMN members and were later escorted by the police to attack IMN members from community to community.
They cheered the police while the police in return told them that they were doing a good job and that they should not leave behind any Shiite. They were so blood-thirsty wanting to kill any Shiite they see as a result.
At the end of it all, the government was put to shame by the IMN members who simply stayed away and left them without any retaliation or attempted violence. This disgraced the governors involved into a confused state looking for explanations to give to the public for illegally clamping down on the IMN members.
Some condemned the act to claim ignorance of the plan, some after the clampdown rushed into the next stage which is to ban the IMN in their states and later on withdrew the ban, others had to engage in public embarrassment of fabricating lies to justify their actions claiming that IMN members attacked police with dame guns while the most stupid of them came out to condemn the IMN for disrupting public peace after paying thugs to attack them. What is more is that the public witnessed it all but they still shamelessly tell them different stories.
The funniest part of the drama is that in Kaduna after one unit of the police escorted the thugs to commit arson, another unit of the Police went round making arrests. They were arresting those that were escorted by police to attack and loot IMN members.
Those arrested are now regretting how they have been used by the state and even given police protection to commit arson with confidence and now some of them are being picked up as culprits and scapegoat to cleanse the government’s involvement in the act.
The government needs to do this to prove to the public that it was not involved and to also prove that the governor was serious when he ordered the arrest of the thugs in his announcement in his announcement condemning the attack on Ashura.
Now that they have committed the crimes they have no one to point at and say this is the government that led us into attacking the IMN members. They have been used and dumped. They were simply deceived into the act by the police and the Wahhabi collaborators in their mosques but cannot point directly at the people that led them into the arson.
The police involvement was actually clear to all because the public saw them and watched what happened and even snapped their pictures. More so, there were rumors that police were seen removing their uniforms and dressing like thugs and carrying local weapons to lead the other hired thugs. Even if one would doubt this, he cannot doubt the pictures of thugs being conveyed to scenes of the incidence in police and other security vehicles.
If only the public was aware of the fact that the operation was just to satisfy the personal whims and caprices of some individuals who will stand to gain either financially or through promotion of sectarian sentiments or through creating mischief to save themselves, they might have stayed away. But they were already mischievously induced with hate.
I said financially here because of the governors and self-appointed scholars that hope to get their hands on the $100 million earmarked for the contract of eliminating Shiites and Shiism in Nigeria. I said through promotion of sectarian sentiments because of the Salafists and Wahhabists that see the killing of Shiites as a big Jihad. And I also said creating mischief because of those directly involved in crimes against humanity after the mass murder of IMN members in December 2015 in Zaria that have a case to answer before the International Criminal Court ICC. They want by all means to blackmail and paint IMN black to destroy its reputation before the ICC to save their heads.
The worse things that have happened to the IMN for now are the incessant killings and damages to property. On the other hand, the worse that has now happened to the perpetrators of the plots against the IMN is that they are speedily losing the battle as they fetch more and more sympathy to the IMN.
If only the thugs knew who Sheikh Zakzaky is they would never have allowed themselves to be deceived by desperate individuals into attacking his followers. Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky will never ever lie, deceive or betray them as done to them by government and its Wahhabi collaborators.
To them I will say, if you but knew, all they need from you are your services and not you because they are to you as rulers and exploiters and not as leaders and guides. On the other hand, to the IMN His Eminence, the revered Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky is to us a leader, a guide and a father. For that we chant and will continue to chant Free Zakzaky until he is unconditionally released from illegal detention.

“Muhammed killing Muhammed”
By Abdulmumin Giwa
This statement and the message embedded in it is what I intend to dwell on being a statement uttered by onlookers that are not Muslims but resident in Kaduna.
They watched with dismay as those they see as Muslims launching attacks on Muslims, killing them and looting their property simply because they differ in understanding. One of such persons uttered the statement “nawa woo Muhammed dey kill Muhammed”. It was a very embarrassing statement but very true.
Yes Muhammed is indeed killing Muhammed because those paid thugs all claim to be “Muhammedans” and are killing fellow Muslims for being Shiites. Their reason for this is that their state governor has legalized the blood of the Shiites by proscribing their religion in the name of banning the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN).
Being ignorant of Islam and its message the Nigerian leaders are surrounded by some fraudsters claiming to be religious cleric and leaders who have induced hatred of the IMN and its activities in them. The wicked clerics were successful igniting the fire of extreme sectarianism in the leaders in such a way that they only see through the eye of sectarian sentiment and enmity.
The governor of Kaduna state in particular went even beyond that and engaged in open display of hatred, enmity and sectarian extremism that he banned the IMN in the state. He has left the people wondering how a secular democracy could ban a religion simply because the governor does not approve of the religion.
Being a joint plot with those religious fraudsters claiming to be clerics they too were quick at carrying his message of hate to the public through their preaching podiums in their commercial center they call mosques declaring killing of Shiites and looting of their property as a religious duty. They tell their people to join hands with the government to finish the Shiites.
Some of the mentally derailed elements amongst them even describe President Buhari, Burutai and El-Rufai as their sect revivalists calling them with names like “Radiallahu anhu”,, “Sheikh”, “Sayyid” and even “Ayatullah”. They even say that even if Buhari does not achieve anything in his government he has done everything for them by killing the Shiites.
It is in order to prove this togetherness with them that El-Rufai disregarded, violated and disrespected the constitution which has given all citizens the right to worship and associate and also the right not to be discriminated and banned the IMN.
They are making all efforts to instigate and provoke the IMN into violence but have ended up becoming promoters of violent sectarian extremism. I must say the hired thugs claiming to be fighting a Godly course are themselves ungodly as Killing, stealing and looting only exemplify the government’s officially recognized religion of Wahhabism and not Islam. The thugs were seen stealing and drinking cough syrups from the chemists of IMN members they looted in order “to get high”. One wonders what religion permits intoxication.
The news now doing the rounds in the public is that it is a foreign backed contract worth $100 million in bribe to the governors to kill Shiites. People have every reason to believe this because there is no reason no genuine reason for clamping down on the IMN. Hence they have accepted to acquire blood money through the killing of Shiites.
More so, it is serving as a diversionary tactic from the persistent campaign against the 12th to 14th of December 2016 Zaria massacre embarked upon by the IMN that is exposing their devilish work. They are using it to gain breathing space from the free Zakzaky campaign.
It is also a way of destabilizing the country for the imperialist that are after rendering the country ungovernable so that they can have the opportunity of recolonizing the country in the new wave of modern colonization taking place.
The criminals against humanity also want to use the same as a way of obtaining evidences to defend themselves with before the International Criminal Court (ICC) when they come to stand before it.
It has further displayed the incompetence of thee leadership which has failed to provide life’s basic amenities to the teaming unemployed youths. No youths are left in the wilderness of instituted poverty. No education no job and no hope in life all they get in life are tokens paid them by greedy and wicked politician to commit arson.
This recklessness is even worse in Northern Nigeria which is suffering more than sixty-five percent of the county’s poverty and lack of development and at least seventy percent of lack of education. I have listened to the then Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Charles Solido making similar analysis while delivering a paper at Arewa House in Kaduna when he was heading the apex bank.
The leaders in the north do not see these as calamity but as opportunity to exploit youth and use them to achieve their personal whims and caprices. They are victims of their leaders’ incompetence and greed and have been left behind without exposure and education and are used in causing unrest and lack of serenity.
They are being blindfolded from understanding the hope the IMN is bringing to them that will save and emancipate them from continuous servitude to global imperialism. The IMN shall continue to enlighten the public on the only solution to their problems despite all the forces and obstacles against it.
The IMN shall remain focused and resolute against all possible attempts to provoke it into undue violence. It has never been in the character of the movement to issue threats or intimidations to any individual or group and this is its defense board.

Attack on Shiites: Hypocrisy, deception, cowardice

By Abdulmumin Giwa
Hired thugs with police escort went from house to house and from shop to shop of members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria looting their property and striking them with cutlasses and other sharp objects in Kaduna.
They moved from community to community with the thugs cheering the police and the police telling them that they are doing a good job.
What is more is that among the police officers leading the operation were also flanked by two known Wahhabi clerics whose names I will reserve for later mention chanting “no more Shi’a”.
My wife is a direct victim because her chemist is one of the places targeted at Unguwan Muazu where they destroyed all the medicines and broke all the shelves and the display glasses. Close-by was a provision store owned by her younger brother from which they stole everything including the deep freezer. They also entered their family house and looted a lot of property and electronics.
I used the above example from among several other examples available of the damages by the team of police and thugs because of an incident that followed. It was said that based on a report by a victim at Kinkinau community, some policemen went round to assess the extent of damages done. On arrival at my wife’s family house they asked her elder brother whether it was true that police accompanied the thugs.
Her elder brother said he is a victim and would not speak to them to avoid seeing it as a bias or fabrication. He said they should ask other people of the community to tell them what they saw. The police confirmed from those in the community that the thugs were escorted by more than 13 police vehicles.
In one of the houses they attacked belonging to a friend of mine Awwal Sherif they struck his eldest daughter with machete and looted his property as well.
It would be a stupid insult on the police to claim that they were not aware of what was happening because it didn’t just take place instantaneously and finished it took place for over five hours moving from community to community. For the police to have claimed ignorance of it tells the stuff the police is made of.
After they had a field day looting from the Shiites, the Police Public Relations Department issued a press release that said nothing. There was no mention of any plan by the police to arrest the thugs or to even investigate the matter. There was also no remorse or commiseration with the victims by the police.
All the police said was that they have observed that some members of the public have become lawless and act in manners detrimental to law and order and in total disregard to rights of other citizens.
The statement also said that the Police Commissioner, Kaduna State Police Command hereby reminds the general public that the maintenance of law and order will not be compromised and anybody found committing acts detrimental to the peace of the society will be dealt with accordingly.
The statement also added that they are hereby advised to remain calm as the command is dedicated to the safety and security of lives and property.
This statement is not any different from that of the Kaduna state Governor Nasir El-Rufai who shed crocodile tears after butchering the Shiites on the day of Ashura claiming that perpetrators of the crimes should be arrested and made to face the law. He also deceptively claimed that he commiserates with the victims.
This whole saga is a plot intended at dispersing the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) and also blackmailing its members. They wanted the IMN members to engage the police, police dressed like thugs carrying arms and the hired thugs. They have made all efforts to provoke IMN members into violence but all to no avail.
Being that the IMN did not react to their plan they decided for the worse and attacked the houses and shops of IMN members but still, their plans have not succeeded as even the public are condemning the governor and the police for irresponsibility.
They have now ignited another sectarian crisis between the Muslims especially between the Tarikas and the Izala. The Izalas, the Wahhabis of Nigeria, who are partners of the government in the clampdown on IMN members, are being condemned by the Tarikas. They say that they would not tolerate that clampdown on them because the Izalas are already looking towards them as the next target.
This has raised tension and the Izalas are planning to extend the clampdown on the Tarikas when they finished with the Shiites if they ever do.
One would wonder why the government has joined hands with the Wahhabis to fight against the IMN. The politicians were bribed in billions of Naira and they want by all means to reach their hands on the monies. They are desperate and hungry as they don’t have enough monies to steal from government coffers. They want to enjoy blood money by killing the IMN members.
This has now led to the government loosing public support and popularity due to irresponsibility and personal whims of the government and their security agents.

Government hypocrisy

By Abdulmumin Giwa
It is now no more news that a combined team of Police, Army, Civil Defense Corps, plain cloth security agents and paid thugs launched a coordinated and planned attack on the members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria IMN in some major cities in northern Nigeria on the occasion of the commemoration of the martyrdom of Husain (AS) called the Ashura.
The coordinated and planned attack on IMN took place in Sokoto, Kano, Kaduna, Funtua and Jos using the same mode of operation with the same intention. The police will attack IMN members using teargas and life bullets while the thugs will clampdown on them and loot and burn down their property.
IMN members numbering seventeen were killed by the team and a total of four buildings made up of schools, residences and IMN centers were burnt down or demolished in Kaduna and Jos in particular. Over three hundred IMN members were also arrested in all the affected areas including women and infants all of who are put in jail to face court charges.
These incidences occurred in broad daylight before the very eyes of the general public, the Police and other security agents attacked a peaceful procession of the IMN members in Funtua shooting sporadically at the procession. They gunned down 10 IMN members.
The police commissioner hypocritically fabricated a script and read it to the media shamelessly claiming that they clashed with IMN members. After killing the IMN members he went ahead to lie to them again, sin upon sin, that they wanted to attack a police station when they were nowhere close to a police station and that they exchanged fire with them. He produced dame guns, machetes and others claiming that they recovered them from the IMN members they killed. This is in effort to convince the world that he did well. He made a video of the whole thing and it was aired on the Nigerian Television Authority. He is so mindless of the fact that he still has God to convince on the matter when he dies if at all he believes in God.
In the case of Kaduna, the Ashura procession ended peacefully while the police watched on. IMN members left for their houses while the police attacked and harassed some of them. They launched a major attack on the IMN center at Tudun Wada where they brought hired thugs to burn down the place and subsequently demolish it while they watch. The same thugs went and demolished and carted away building materials of the IMN’s Fudiyya Primary school.
They harassed IMN members and injured many and they also looted property from their houses. They brutally killed three IMN members and gathered at the IMN center singing “no more Shia”. After the operation as the police and others in the team were leaving, they were cheered by the hired thugs while they ceremoniously waved at them and blew siren in jubilation.
They went further and demolished another primary school owned by the IMN at Nasarawa Kaduna, Imam Sadiq Primary School. The IMN members are placed in a situation whereby even the Sisters don’t dare dress in their usual black hijab attire or in some cases even dare put on a black socks on the legs.
Following criticisms from all and sundry, the Kaduna state Governor Nasir El-rufai also shamelessly came out to deceive the public that he is condemning those who attacked the Shiites and then ordered the police to arrest anybody guilty of attacking them. He said he commiserates with the affected families that lost loved ones and property.
This is in fact very funny. How can one sponsor and commandeer such an operation and then come out shedding crocodile tears? Who is to be arrested? Is it the police, army, civil defense, plain clothes security or the hired thugs that were paid two thousand naira by the government to kill and maim any Shiite at sight? Maybe the governor should start by ordering himself arrested so that the tears he is shedding can have human touches.
El-Rufai had visited sorrow tears and blood for a second time on the IMN members. One of those brutally murdered by the El-Rufai boys, Shaheed Jaafar Ali never lived to see his newly born child that his wife gave birth to two days after he was murdered.
What is even more surprising is how the security men dressed in mufti like thugs as they were conveyed to attack the IMN members in Kano. There too they descended on the IMN members returning to their homes after the peaceful Ashura procession. They made large arrests injuring scores.
In Jos they surrounded the IMN center and sporadically shot at the members inside. They cleared the floor for the hired thugs. But in this case they were mostly security agents dressed like thugs leading the other thugs in the operation. They also burnt down the center and demolished it as well but not without resistance from members off the public who saw no reason for that animal act.
The response of the government which had earlier “unofficially” banned the black hijab worn by the IMN women was a final ban on the IMN by the state government. Several IMN members were also arrested and detained by the police.
Also in Sokoto the hired thugs attacked the peaceful Ashura procession killing one IMN member and injuring several others.
Why is the government very hypocritical and mischievous about the IMN? They have planned something big but it failed. Their intention was to send imposters dressed in black to join the IMN procession carrying guns which they will use in attacking the security personnel that will come to stop the procession. They want to prove to the world by all means that the IMN is armed and violent to justify their crimes against humanity of December 2015. But to their greatest surprised the procession didn’t take place the way they expected. They therefore had an only option of directly attacking the IMN and using hired thugs, which they did.
The general intention is to divert the attention of the IMN from the December 2015 mass murder that led to the illegal detention of the IMN leader Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky. They want to create another scene to justify their evil machinations against the IMN and painting it black. But from what is on ground now they have also lost woefully in another round of the battle. The IMN shall remain undeterred, focused and resolute and will never be provoked into undue violence. These are difficult times but the IMN had gone through such difficult times to become what it is today. The more you despise the IMN the stronger it waxes and so shall you die in agony for indeed the IMN lives on.

We are being pushed to the wall

By Abdulmumin Giwa
I have heard a lot of commendations on the peaceful conduct of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) under the revered leadership of His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) which is so matured in its thought and ideas to the extent of managing itself through most tempting situations.
The IMN had been attacked on several occasions where its members are mercilessly killed and their property destroyed by the Nigerian government and its military and security agents.
I can sight some few major attacks on the IMN that include that of Sokoto in 2003 where 15 IMN members were butchered by government hired touts, their shops and residences were set ablaze and razed to ground for no just cause apart from sectarian hatred.
About 110 of them were jailed only to be released after finding out that they were not guilty. The Sokoto state government was instructed to pay compensation and that was all. The IMN members returned home and continued their activities after spending four years behind bars for no just course.
The IMN never looked back with the intention of revenge or counter-attack and that was how everything ended.
In Potiskum, in May 2012 the Islamic center was attacked by “unknown gunmen” wanting to kill Sheikh Mustapha Nasidi who was heading the center. His immediate younger brother and other members were brutally killed but they missed killing him. There also the bullet shells and magazines found at the scene were carrying the Nigerian Police and military colors proving who actually attacked.
In the same center in 2014 and inn 2015 there was a bomb attack at a gathering of children where several of them were also brutally killed and the government blamed the attack on Boko Haram.
The IMN also never looked back with the intention of revenge or counter-attack and that was how everything ended.
There was also the attack on the Quds Day procession in 2014 by the Nigerian Army who killed 34 IMN members after the peaceful procession. There they abducted three of Sheikh Zakzaky’s sons and tortured them to death in the army barracks.
There too a lot of tension was raised expecting an uncontrollable outburst by the IMN but the leader of the Movement simply called for calm and that was all nothing happened thereafter.
There was also the Zaria massacre that witnessed the mass murder of over 1000 IMN members by the Nigerian Army. The Kaduna state government in collaboration with the Army buried 347 IMN members in one of the mass graves discovered by the Amnesty International (AI) at Mando in Kaduna. They also burned down the residence of the IMN leader and later demolished it. They demolished the Hussainiyya Baqiyyatullah, they demolished Fudiyya Islamic center, they demolished Darur Rahma and the tomb of Sheikh Zakzaky’s mother.
The Army in that attack also burned IMN members alive including the elder sister of the IMN leader. They also killed another set of three sons of Sheikh Zakzaky, shot him and his wife severally and detained them for 10 months now without trial or any charges. All these crimes against humanity took place because of a purported blockage of the convoy of the Chief Of Army Staff (COAS).
That also did not attract any violent reaction from the IMN. Peaceful steps of seeking redress were taken by the movement in courts within and outside Nigeria. The IMN embarked on peaceful demonstrations and rallies calling for the immediate and unconstitutional release of the revered leader. Nobody was attacked and no violence was engaged in even as the government had severally attempted provoking the IMN into violence but all to no avail.
During the 2015 the Arba’een trek from Kano to Zaria was also attacked by government agents flanked as Boko Haram who were actually caught. Several IMN, members were killed in the bomb attack and scores were also injured in that deliberate attempt to scare members away from that religious symbol. There too the trekking continued to Zaria without any situation.
As one of the cases at the Federal High Court in Abuja is progressing and the judge is expressing dismay with the irresponsibility, human rights violation and national embarrassment perpetrated by the Nigerian government, he advised the Nigerian government to settle out of court with the IMN to avoid his ruling.
The Kaduna state Governor Nasir El-Rufai decided to escalate the situation by disregarding the constitutional provision of rights to worship, rights to associate and rights not to be discriminated at and he used flimsy and unsubstantiated reasons and arrogated to himself the power to ban the IMN. He banned the IMN hoping for a reprisal from it to use to blackmail it. All the IMN did was to continue with its peaceful activities and reminded him of the constitutional provisions and refused to be banned.
He engaged his Wahhabi brothers in the fight against the IMN who he funded along with the state machinery and mobilized a force against the IMN members who he attacked and killed three and injured several others in Kaduna during the recently concluded annual Ashura event, burned the IMN center in Kaduna and two primary schools owned by the IMN.
What is worse is that the impoverished citizens and the Wahhabi collaborators who have no jobs, no food, no security, no healthcare services, no education and no basic life infrastructures due to government incompetence were exploited and paid N5000 to kill any Shiite in the state they see.
The Kaduna state Governor had fully engaged himself in the criminal act of minority cleansing using the opportunity of the public office he is occupying. He now wants every Shiite killed because he is a Wahhabi governor.
One of the video clips of the El-Rufai attack on Shiites in Kaduna showed how his sponsored thugs brutally murdered IMN members under the protection of the police and Army. It showed how an IMN member already stabbed and cut severally was mutilated to death. The El-Rufai thug was using a big stone to break the IMN member’s head open while the other thug was pulling him inside refuse. The genocide spearheaded by El-Rufai on IMN members in Kaduna was terrible.
This is what brings me to my earlier statement that we are being pushed to the wall. We are human beings and we have our limits and we even have a limit to the level of restraint we are demonstrating that people are ignorantly exploiting.
It would be highly deceptive and foolish to presume that we will just continue to look on as you come-kill-and-go of us. Yes we are indeed peaceful and non-violent but there are peaceful ways of self-defense as well that might not be pleasing to those who take pleasure in killing us.
Remember that those you are killing are our wives, our sisters, our mothers, our brothers, our husbands, our friends and our relations. Lest anybody feels he cannot observe restraint any longer he should not be blamed. This is unjust and unfair.
Just like Barr. Ebeneza Oyetakin, I wouldn’t want a situation whereby the government would come to start begging for dialogue when everything has been nursed by the greedy Nigerian leaders into an unwanted situation.
I feel it is the responsibility of right-thinking people, people of conscience and the human right organizations to call the Kaduna state governor to order lest he creates an unfavorable situation.
There is no way anybody at all can stop us from becoming Shiites no matter how much he despises the religion and no matter how fanatical he is about hiss Wahhabism. The IMN is close to 40 year now in existence in Nigeria and the adherents practice the faith out of conviction and not imposition. It is most deceptive for anyone to think he can use force to eliminate it as no member was forced to join.
The IMN is non-violent and cannot be provoked into violence, but the members of the IMN are equally human beings and have the right to defend and protect their lives against predators. We are aware that the public is never our enemy and we can never be provoked or pushed into engaging in any form of violence with the public. But have the right to defend ourselves and circumstances would lead to that.
Our blood is not as cheap as the blinded self-appointed enemies of the IMN see it. We are being pushed to the wall lest we push back, those concerned should speak out and now is the time to speak out.
